New Decorating Idea..............

Hey ya'll. A while back, I was cleaning out some "stuff" to make room for more "stuff" and ran across some vintage sheet music that belonged to my mother and father-in-law. As some of you may know, my husband's family is a VERY musical talented family.

My father-in-law was the band director for 30 years at the local high school and also played trumpet with many of the "big bands" in that era. My husband, of course, an avid drummer, my sisters-in-law playing flute and piano and my brother-in-law plays almost every instrument there is......he was kinda a "catch all" when my father-in-law needed something in the band, he made Billy learn to play it. And my mother-in-law taught piano lessons.

When my mother and father-in-law went to be with the Lord, and we had their estate sale, some years back, we got most of the music stuff, since Jackie is the only one still active in music. We put these treasures in the attic, and truthfully forgot about them. Well, when I ran across these, I thought, these are too good to just be hidden away up here. So, I listed them in my Ebay store. These are great for the collector, or better still, when framed, they make a great addition to a cottage or shabby chic decor. You can put them in a grouping near a piano, or just about anywhere. If some of ya'll are into the cottage or shabby chic, check these out.

Love all ya'll,
Vic

Hi Vic!
Just to let ya know I have posted the award, and again, I am very honored...Thank you.

I used to have all my grandparent's sheet music. I don't know what happened to it. I love those old things. I'm sure you'll sell them. They belong in a museum!

Vic, I thought I left a comment the other day, but I guess I didn't!!!!! Just love the old sheet music, and love to see it framed, etc. It does bring back memories for me when I took piano lessons as a little kid. Wish I had those few special sheet music pieces that I practiced from!!!! That old piano bench we sat on was filled to the brim with it all!!!!

And thank you for all your prayers and kind words on my blog. You don't know how much I appreciate you, girl!!!!! Love coming here, love the peaceful music, and just wish I was sitting on your porch with you listening to the breezes blow through your pine trees!!!!!

Hi Vic! So glad you came for a visit, nice to meet you! I love your header, such a cozy room! There are so many things you can do with sheet music, I hope someone will treasure them, nice stuff!

Vic, I saw another neat thing to do with sheet music-I can't for the life of me remember where I saw it, but sheet music was glued to a board, and old clock works were put in front of the sheet music to make a wonderful clock. I guess you'd probably ruin the sheet music if you glued the original, but it could be scanned to save it.

Glad you liked my farmer's market. I wanted to take pictures of the Amish and Mennonites who were using the buggies, but I respect their views about photos. There was a HUGE area of bicycles all parked together, and I could kick myself for not getting that photo.
Are you creating anything these days, I mean besides music?
Hope you are well.
